Momofuku Momofuku - Cereal Milk Soft Serve

The long anticipated Chef David Chang’s Momofuku has been in the works through fall of last year and has finally opened in the Cosmopolitan. It’s true. Everything you’ve heard people gush and ooh and ah about is true. It is gluttony at its best. It also helped that our served seemed to really LOVE the food as well, so we just went with it. Caviar, you suggest? DONE!

Marugame Monzo Marugame Monzo Marugame Monzo

The second of it’s kind in Vegas for made from scratch Udon, Marugame Monzo hails from Los Angeles offering slurpable bowls of udon of many styles and flavors.(I-naba has sadly come and gone). With the exit of I-naba, I guess you can call Monzo the ONLY fresh udon joint in town. While I still think of Sanuki No Sato in Gardena as the best Udon, Monzo falls in the “very-good-for-Vegas” category. It is not the best ever where the udon lacks some bouncy chew, but it certainly very overall tasty.

Flock & Fowl

Chicken and rice, it is the universal comfort food across many cultures. Flock & Fowl hits the spot with delicious comfort food all around. Deep fried chicken, baos and of course, the addicting rice that accompanies their main menu item, Hainanese chicken. Perhaps, it’s the chicken fat or the fact that they source organic chicken? Flock & Fowl brings chicken eating to another level, and you can really feel the food being made with “heart”.

HAINANESE CHICKEN RICE (with house made ginger scallion sauce + house made chile + house made soy chicken rice, marinated cucumbers and preserved mustard greens) ordered 3 ways – poached, house roasted, buttermilk fried. NIGHT MARKET FRIED CHICKEN BAO, INDO FRIED RICE.
