Chang’s Hong Kong Cuisine Chang’s is usually the go to for dim sum after Ping Pang Pong in the Gold Coast. This weekend it seriously disappointed with the siu mai (shrimp/pork dumpling), ha gow (shrimp dumpling) and my beloved flaky egg tarts but it saved itself with one [...] Super Super Maybe I’ve been deprived of good chinese food in Las Vegas, in particular, chinese breakfast. I just had pretty decent porridge with fish balls and chicken in sticky rice (lui Mi ji/luo Mai gai). Also, the hot milk tea was so fragrant with the tea taste and creamy smooth from proper [...] Kee Wah Bakery (in 99 ranch plaza) Jim’s bakery (SE corner of garvey and garfield) was closed for relocation so the hunt for egg tarts lead us to Kee Wah bakery in the same ‘hood. I always have a preference for the flaky crust vs. the cookie [...] I couldn’t put it any better than this food blog entry =) (See Serious Eats Link below) Fat Girl’s Thanksgiving 2008 Food Adventures…. (minus BIMI which is closed on sunday! i was going to try a new restaurant…. *whine…) anyhoo. oldies but goodies (Class 302, Echigo, Din Tai Fung, Sapp Coffee Shop) always hits the spot – lots of noodles and chinese breakfast items + one newbie (Yung [...] So for my halloween weekend food adventures in so cal…. =) Went to Earthen in Rowland Heights for beef noodle soup (hong xiao niu rou mian), onion pancake (cong you bing) and pork dumplings (zhu rou sui jiao). chewy, soupy, tasty, Nom nom nom nom nom…. Went to Phoenix for [...] I don’t know about you guys, but going to dim sum, I always tend to have my heart set on a few items, especially the yummy not too sweet dim sum desserts at the end. Mmmmm….
