Is was about 4 years ago that I went and was super impressed. 4 years later, I am equally impressed. Right when they set the steak down, they have you cut into it to make sure it is made to your liking. I had the filet mignon – rare with cold center. The steak was perfectly seared on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside.

Conclusion: Consistent. Flavorful. A great classic steakhouse.

Ok, so yelp has really good reviews and my friends say it’s fantastic, but I was disappointed, yet, again. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but for my visit this past weekend, it does not compare to the others (N9NE, Del Frisco’s, Morton’s, Maestro’s), where I’ve walked out with the feeling of complete satisfaction.

The bone-in ribeye prepared medium rare was decent but not super juicy. The sea bass and their bleu cheese wedge salad were good, but as I’ve mentioned in my previous post, both at Kalani’s are better. The mushrooms under my sea bass were overcooked, super shriveled, and some were almost dry! Their signature truffle fries were super tasty and crispy, but I’m not sure I tasted any of the truffle oil? If it was there, it was definitely overpowered by the parmesan and salt.

Conclusion: Call me crazy, but I’ve had better. =P

Joe’s Seafood Salad – consisting of crab, shrimp, scallops, tomatoes, lettuce chopped bitesize, various refreshing herbs tossed together with a creamy vinagerette….

Our appetizers of oysters on half shell and stone crab claws already cracked and ready to eat! all the crab meat with no work to eat! on the side is a creamy butter whipped with a touch of horseradish. i forget the name of these yummy oysters but definitely not as good as the kushi oysters we had back in february

benny’s bone-in ribeye made medium rare. perfect piece of meat. picture the steak scene in the matrix… that’s how good it was

This is the biggest piece of crab i’ve ever eaten! so huge and so satisfying because there was no work involved. just pulled that meat out of the shell and chomp!
